Questions
How are credits counted?
One credit for each word you paste in, not what comes back, plus a flat 40-credit fee per request that covers starting the GPU. The fee is the same on every plan. So a 400-word draft costs 440 credits.
What is "Rewrite selection"?
After a rewrite, highlight any sentence or paragraph you'd like redone and click Rewrite selection. Only the words you highlighted are charged, plus the usual request fee, so it's much cheaper than re-rolling everything.
What happens when I run out?
The rewriter stops and tells you how many credits you have left. Free credits return on the 1st; credits you've bought stay until you use them.
Do credits and a plan stack?
Yes. Your monthly allowance is spent first, then any credits. So credits are a buffer for busy months rather than something you lose.
Why do I sometimes have to wait?
Two reasons. When nobody has used the model for a while, it switches off to save cost, and the next request waits while it starts up, usually 10 to 30 seconds. On the free plan there's a second reason: free requests share a single GPU that handles two at a time, so when it's busy you wait in line for a turn. Paid plans run on their own GPUs and never queue behind free users. You're never charged for a request that doesn't finish.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from Settings → Manage billing. Pro ends as soon as you cancel and the rest of that month isn't refunded, so it's best to cancel close to your renewal date. Credits you've bought stay on your account.
